People who choose to bike in Arkansas can take advantage of the natural beauty of our state with the benefit of our mild year-round climate.

Mountain biking is an off-road sport with a recent growth in participation around the state. The sport was started in California during the 1970s, but didn’t really reach mainstream America until the late 1990s and into the early 2000s. It requires different types and styles of bikes, according to user preference and terrain.

The Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism has a great list of bike trails all around the state, including Craighead Forest Park in eastern Arkansas, Camp Robinson Trails in North Little Rock and Ben Geren, near Fort Smith.
